Drywall Repair in San Antonio & the Hill Country

Holes, cracks, water-stained and sagging sections on walls and ceilings — replaced, patched, textured and painted to blend — in San Antonio and all around it.

The ground under San Antonio and the Hill Country does not sit still. Expansive clay soil over limestone swells when it is wet and shrinks when it is dry, and a house built on it moves with the seasons — just enough, year after year, to crack the drywall over doors and windows even in a house that was built well. That kind of crack is not a sign anything is falling apart. It is normal for the area, and it is one of the most common repair calls Juan gets, along with holes from an accident, water stains from a slow leak overhead, and sections that have started to sag.

A repair is never just a patch. Juan cuts out the damaged section, replaces it with new sheetrock, and finishes it the same way the rest of the wall was finished — taped, mudded, sanded, textured, and painted to match — so the repaired spot does not stand out once it is done. That matters more here than in places where walls are left flat, since almost every wall and ceiling in this region already carries some kind of texture that has to be matched, not just covered over. Whether it is a single crack over a doorway, a water-stained ceiling, or a hole that has been patched with cardboard for longer than anyone wants to admit, it starts the same way: a no-obligation quote by WhatsApp at (210) 505-1842.

What's included

Repair starts with cutting the damaged section back to solid, undamaged drywall around the hole, crack, or water-stained area. If water caused the damage, Juan checks that the area is dry before closing it back up, since patching over a wet spot only hides a problem that keeps going. A new piece of sheetrock is cut to fit the opening and screwed to the framing behind it, or to added backing if there is nothing solid to screw into. The seams around the new patch get taped and mudded like any other joint, then sanded smooth. Texture is matched to what is already on the surrounding wall or ceiling, and the patch is painted to blend in, so the repair does not read as a repair once it is finished.

How we work

Send a photo

Send Juan a photo of the hole, crack, or stained area so he can see what the repair actually needs.

No-obligation quote

Juan looks at the damage and the surrounding texture, then gives a no-obligation quote by WhatsApp at (210) 505-1842.

Patching and matching

The damaged section is cut out and replaced, then taped, mudded, sanded, textured, and painted to match the wall around it.

Walk through

Once the patch is painted, Juan checks it with you against the surrounding wall to confirm it blends in.

Drywall Repair by city

A builder's whole house in New Braunfels, a texture match in an older Alamo Heights home, a garage turned into a room in Schertz and a coffered ceiling in Boerne each need a different plan — and we handle all of them.

Common questions

Why does drywall keep cracking over my doors and windows?
Expansive clay soil over limestone in this region swells and shrinks with the seasons, and that movement is a common cause of cracks over doors and windows, even in a well-built house.
Can you match the texture on a patched repair?
Yes. Matching the existing texture is part of every repair, so the patched section blends into the wall or ceiling instead of standing out.
What if the damage was caused by water?
Juan checks that the area is dry before closing it back up, then replaces the damaged section and finishes it to match the rest of the wall.
Is a sagging ceiling section something you can fix, or does the whole ceiling need to come down?
Sagging sections are cut back to solid drywall and replaced with new sheetrock, then finished and matched — the rest of the ceiling does not need to come down for it.
